Recently in the news a study came out that 46% of residents in the Bay Area wanted to move out of the area. This has led to quite a bit of speculation that there will all of a sudden be more housing.
When I am out and about talking to people, as I do every day, I can tell you that nearly all the homeowners I speak to do not want to leave the area so this 46% stat is very misleading. The best conclusion to this is most of the people who own a home in the area are here to stay while the individuals who are renting and may not be able to afford a home are who make up a lot of this 46%.
